Faith communities in the Piscataqua region, inspired by their sacred scriptures and moved by the growing evidence of human impacts on the planet, are asking: What could we do better together? Representatives of many faith communities are meeting monthly on third Tuesdays to share their experiences and questions. If you are interested in joining them, email contact person.

Fri. Sept. 5 – 7:30 pm: Book signing by Alan Weisman, author of "The World Without Us” at South Church. This best seller explores how our planet would respond without the relentless pressure of human presence. Fri. Oct. 17 – 7:00 pm – Slow Food Movement, John Jemison, University of Maine Cooperative Extension at the Quaker Friends Meeting House. Sat. morning at the Portsmouth Farmer’s Market (hours 8:00 am – 1:00 pm), Sat. 1:00 – 4:00 pm: Workshops to include Food Preservation, Season Extension, Root Cellars at the Portsmouth Library.
